Why We Complete Your Intake Before Scheduling

One question we've been hearing more often lately is:

"Can we schedule first and complete the paperwork later?"

It's a completely understandable question.

When you're looking for care for yourself, a spouse, a parent, or another loved one, your first instinct is often to get something on the calendar as quickly as possible. You want to know that help is coming, and we appreciate that sense of urgency.

At Senior Touch Massage Professionals, however, we've found that completing the intake process before scheduling creates the best experience for everyone involved.

There are several reasons why.

First and foremost, the intake isn't simply paperwork.

It's how we begin getting to know you.

The information you provide helps us understand your health history, medications, mobility concerns, current challenges, and your goals for receiving our services. Every client is unique, and that information allows us to prepare for your first visit instead of walking in without understanding your needs.

We want to arrive ready to help…not spending valuable session time gathering information that could have been shared beforehand.

The intake also helps us determine whether our services are the right fit for your situation. If there are questions or concerns, we'd rather address those before scheduling than after an appointment has already been reserved.

Another reason is simply fairness.

Our schedule is limited, and we want to make sure appointment times are available for families who are ready to move forward.

Over the past several months, we've noticed a pattern. Families will understandably ask about available appointments before completing their intake. Sometimes an appointment is discussed, but the paperwork isn't completed for several days…or even weeks.

During that time, our office often has to follow up multiple times to see if the family is still interested, answer additional questions, or determine whether they wish to proceed.

None of this happens because anyone has bad intentions.

Life gets busy.

Priorities change.

Unexpected situations come up.

We understand that.

Many of the families we serve are also coordinating care between multiple people. An adult son or daughter may call us first, but then they need to discuss everything with their parent or siblings before moving forward. Others are balancing work, caregiving responsibilities, medical appointments, and family schedules all at the same time.

We recognize that these conversations can take time.

That's exactly why we've built a process that keeps everything organized.

Once your intake is complete and payment has been received, we can confidently schedule your first visit knowing everyone is on the same page. It eliminates unnecessary back-and-forth, reduces confusion, and allows our office to focus on preparing for your care instead of trying to determine where someone is in the decision-making process.

Most importantly, it allows us to serve every family more efficiently.

Our goal has never been to make things more complicated.

In fact, it's the opposite.

We've refined our process over time because we want your experience with us to be smooth, predictable, and professional from your very first interaction.

When your appointment day arrives, we want our attention focused entirely on you—not on paperwork that still needs to be completed or information that should have been collected beforehand.

We know that reaching out for care is often a significant decision. Whether you're seeking relief for yourself or helping someone you love, we consider it a privilege to be part of that journey.

If you ever have questions about the intake process, we're always happy to answer them.

Our office is here to guide you every step of the way.

Thank you for trusting Senior Touch Massage Professionals.

We look forward to welcoming you as a client and providing the thoughtful, personalized care that your family deserves.
