This Isn't Traditional Massage
A person receiving hospice care may be dealing with significant physical changes. They may be confined to a hospital bed. They may use oxygen. Their mobility may be severely limited. Their skin may be fragile, and their tolerance for touch can change from one visit to the next.
That's why Hospice Comfort Care isn't approached like a traditional massage appointment.
There may be no massage table. There may be no need to reposition the individual unnecessarily. Sometimes the most appropriate session involves gentle work on the hands, feet, shoulders, scalp, or another accessible area.
And sometimes what a person needs most is simply the reassuring presence of another human being offering compassionate touch.

We Don't Rush Hospice Care
Our Hospice Comfort Care appointments allow additional time so the therapist isn't watching the clock or trying to force a traditional massage into a predetermined routine.
We allow time to communicate with the individual and caregiver, understand how they're feeling that day, work around medical equipment, accommodate changing mobility, and provide the session at a pace appropriate for them.
Some days, the individual may welcome more touch. Other days, less. We adapt to them, not the other way around.
There are no performance goals. No exercises to complete. No expectations that someone needs to "get better."
Comfort Without Expectations
Hospice Comfort Care has a much simpler purpose: help someone feel comfortable, cared for, and human.
Gentle touch may provide relaxation, soothing sensory stimulation, companionship, and a welcome change from the constant medical attention that can become part of end-of-life care. While doctors, nurses, hospice professionals, and family caregivers focus on essential medical and personal needs, Senior Touch provides another layer of compassionate support.
Hospice doesn't affect only the person receiving care
Supporting Families, Too
Families are often exhausted. Adult children may be balancing jobs, children, appointments, medications, overnight caregiving, and the emotional reality of losing someone they love.
Our presence doesn't replace hospice professionals or family caregivers. But for a little while, it can give everyone permission to slow down.
Family members are welcome to remain nearby, ask questions, or simply enjoy seeing their loved one receive gentle, individualized attention.
Working Alongside Hospice Care

Senior Touch Massage Professionals does not replace hospice, nursing, medical treatment, or other healthcare services.
Before providing services, we consider the individual's condition, comfort level, caregiver guidance, medical equipment, and any instructions or precautions established by their healthcare or hospice team.
If massage or touch isn't appropriate on a particular day, we respect that. The individual always comes first.

Our specialized Hospice Comfort Care visit provides additional time and flexibility beyond a traditional appointment.
Hospice Comfort Care
The service may include:
✔ An unhurried initial assessment and conversation with the individual and/or caregiver
✔ Gentle, comfort-focused massage or compassionate touch based on the individual's condition
✔ Adaptation for hospital beds, oxygen, limited mobility, positioning restrictions, and other circumstances
✔ Additional time for pauses, repositioning, communication, or rest
✔ Coordination with caregivers regarding appropriate comfort and accessibility
✔ A completely individualized experience with no expectation of completing a predetermined routine
Being in hospice doesn't mean someone stops needing human connection. It doesn't mean touch stops mattering. And it certainly doesn't mean dignity should disappear beneath medical equipment, medications, appointments, and caregiving routines.
